He totally killed the Pope 🤣
Not to put too fine of a point on this, but if I spent the last few months putting innocent people in concentration camps and the pope died basically three seconds after I met him, I would not continue life apace, I would not immediately clock back in at the fascism factory.

Is criticizing the government a prosecutable offense now? Edgar won't say that it isn't.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

My mother likes to walk in graveyards and often took me with her when I was a child. We observed how many old (pre 1950s) graves of young children there were, and how the deaths cluster within a couple of weeks of each other. That's when the plagues came through town.
In my Biology 2 lab exercises I had students go out to collect headstone data from three time periods. After 1950, honestly, there were very very few deaths recorded for anyone under age 10. It was very stark. 🧪 🌍 🌿 #iNat
