Recently I started experiencing what I was 90% sure were symptoms of early perimenopause. Yet my primary care doc kept insisting it couldn’t be. I finally pushed her to consult gyn. Gyn confirmed what I already suspected and had been saying repeatedly: perimenopause. It shouldn’t be thus hard!

Today I submitted my grant proposal focused on VA gynecology care. There’s a feeling of absurd in doing this under the present circumstances. Trying to believe that #PersistenceIsResistance.

Writing grants in the middle of this chaos is really, really hard. #grateful for my VA colleagues who are in this with me and the opportunity to get out on the water to find moments of calm and joy.

As an immunocompromised person I find this so 🤬 I depend on vaccines to stay healthy
