Today I started a new HE adventure. We had our first session on my new MA module about peasant movements in Latin America and the Caribbean in the twentieth century. We will be studying revolutions, agrarian reform, the MST, ANUC, La Via Campesina, Afropeasantry, agroecology. It is very exciting 😁

Decolonisation and knowledges of decolonisation produced outside academia supersede the fraction of knowledge pooled in by academia on the topic. This realisation, not a hindrance in the labour of epistemic decolonisation, invites us to engage other formations of knowledge.

We visited Combu island in August during our CAMAMAZON project workshop. Through our 'forest experience' we harvested and feasted on fresh açai and cooled down in the river afterwards - it most definitely offers a living lesson
