Sad, but not surprising, to see the complete lack of understanding as to what is needed for a Physics programme in the UK to remain afloat (and flourish), particularly for those outside the Russell Group. Just ask folks... @physicsworld.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/education/20...

No disrespect @theguardian.com, but the socio-economic attainment gap at GCSEs (www.theguardian.com/education/20...) has been known and quantified for years (links, etc, which trace said socio-economic performance gap right back to nursery/early-years can be found at wripa.ac.uk/wp-content/u...).
