There were some other rules. These are from Bertrand Russell’s History of Western Philosophy

Started knitting a cardigan and the pattern says to cast on 189 stitches which seems like a lot!! I actually had to cast on 342 over several needles to get this cute scallop edge but back down to 189 now and trusting the pattern 🙈🤞
