Collab with my seven year old soon as soon as I'm able to lift my left arm and move my neck properly.
Can you guess who it is? #strangerthings #slippeddisc

The hill I'll die on. Teaches children that an unhealthy work ethic is normal.
Being at home is for relaxing and doing things you want to do.
Homework for kids is bullshit. We're literally teaching them stuff they won't use in the real world then telling them, that learning for 14 years, 8 hours per day isn't enough, you have to take work home. Training them for the horror that is the corporate world aren't we.

Dave is delighted with his new Christmas present. I am delighted that my drugs mean I can get this low to the floor without excessive grunting and graceless movements.

Not a herniated disc. Apparently a muscle stuck in a tight spasm. Hoping that I'd be off my tits on diazpram, but it's barely touching the pain. #shitChristmas

Santa bought me a herniated disc this year. Missing out on Christmas joy and I am beyond pissed off and upset.

Just watched Die Hard for the first time. I'm not into action films so found it tedious AND a Christmas film. Haha said it!

The super-rich rightwing are pouring money into Reform. Do ordinary voters really think their aim is to even out social inequality and make their lives better? Do they think they’re doing it so Farage invests in infrastructure and public services? Ffs. Democracy being beaten to death in plain sight.

Dave and Maxine keep doing this and just staring at me at bedtime. What do they know that I don't?

Leonard and Hungry Paul was sublimely beautiful and sweet.
I'd like to subscribe to some silent time, like Hungry Paul. It may help me survive the stress of chaotic weekends with tantruming 7 year olds

I’m not a great political analyst, but I do feel Labour have made a tactical error by opting to be cunts.

Introduced to a new word by my 7 year old boys. Rizzing someone up.
They explained that when you like somebody and you want them to be your girlfriend, you rizz them up by saying things like "you have big watermelons".
They mistook my shock for confusion and clarified that watermelons meant boobs.

Introduced our 7 year old twin boys to LOTR and the hobbit. They're not impressed. One dubbed it as 'total crap'. Outrageous. However, they both think Legolas was totally awesome so I'm not disinheriting them after all. #LOTR #hobbit #parenting

Latest portrait. Really beautiful composition from the original photo. I haven't drawn many horses and this was a challenge, but it turned out beautifully in the end, despite a mini breakdown over the horse's eye. #horseportrait #digitalart #petportrait

I was having an existential crisis about my artistic abilities last week because of a horse eye. Pulled myself together and ignored the eye. I think my arty fortunes have turned.
Still several hours of work left, but I think this might end up being my best yet.Still have to tackle that sodding eye

Very excited for Halloween. Siren accessories purchased for daughter. 80s wig purchased for one boy (Mike from Stranger Things). Demogorgan for other boy. Should we family coordinate and add dad Hopper and mum Eleven?

Three positives at work today. Postgraduate Researchers who I have been supporting who are doing so well after some bumps in the road, with one passing their viva.
I am so thrilled for all of them. My job can often be hard, but these triumphs are so rewarding to witness.

Next attempt; a horse! A first in my pet portrait 'career'.

A plumber repaired our toilet today. Afterwards he politely requested to use the toilet. He emerged later, shame faced and said, "I've shut the door because of what I did in there."
It was indeed something entirely unholy. My entire house smelt for two hours.
Poor chap.
