I think this is about kids repeating a meme they don't understand because it's outdated. The original association is nothing to do with mayo itself being bad, but of middle class southern white house wives in my grandparents' generation making weird flavor combinations. Like mayo in fruit salad.

And the fact that Punk as a culture is and always was anti-Nazi to the point that anyone who wouldn't punch a Nazi isn't a real punk. But that doesn't stop Nazis from claiming to be punk right up until they get curb stomped by real punks.

Oh yeah. It's the same deal as white nationalists who appropriate Heathenry and pretend like Odin isn't explicitly anti-racist. They're not actually part of the club, but keeping them out is everyone's problem, and so is educating outsiders that they're not with us no matter what they say.

Yeah that's definitely a thing. That makes sense. But in order to be in _actual_ leftist spaces those people _must_ lie about their beliefs. The moment it becomes clear what they really believe, anyone who doesn't immediately kick them out was also pretending to be a Leftist.

I'm confused. "Leftist Nazi" is a paradox by definition. It's impossible to be both. There are authoritarian leftists, who are as bad as Nazis, but you can't be left and right at the same time. So when you say the left has a Nazi problem, what people with what ideology are you talking about?
