Saw a clip of the 1987 production of Flowers in the Attic & just found out Wes Craven was supposed to direct and the wiki entry is hilarious
The wiki entry reads : At one point, Wes Craven was scheduled to direct the film, and had completed a screenplay draft. Producers were disturbed by his approach to the incest-laden story, and Jeffrey Bloom ended up with writing and directing duties.

I have highlighted the last two sentences because they are perfect in their drip of sarcasm "You need Dad," Galloway, who has two sons, said on a recent podcast. The nuclear family he imagines seems to be one in which the mom is the default parent ("They look to her for nurturing. When they really have a problem, I find they go to Mom"), while the necessary dad is the authority figure to whom Mom can appeal as the occasion demands. "There are certain moments when my partner needs me to weigh in," Galloway explained. "I don't know if it's the depth of my voice, my physical size." Boys, he went on, "begin tuning out their mom over time." One might wonder how boys lose these frequencies in the first place. One might long for a deep voice to explain it.

I’ve typed the title Jawbreaker in the search bar on my Tubi account & the films I have to choose from are all very classic teen girl movies such as : the craft, heathers , valley girl saved etc. The lone one that sticks out like a sore thumb is All Quiet on the Western Front

Noticed this while driving and thought it was such an interesting landscape
In foreground there is a chain link fence that has a sign that reads private property, no trespassing, entry prohibited. Behind the chain link fence is a round white metal holding tank that has Imperialin blue lettering across the front. There are some metal structures like a walkway & a tall brown metal pole.
