Your attitude to rain is your own. If it’s raining, we often just put on waterproofs rather than getting in the car (which is more often a miserable experience).

We transport two kids on the back (10 and 6), often with school bags. The older one often rides his own bike these days. For journeys up to 25 minutes in the city, it’s often faster and more convenient than a car.

We don’t use panniers - if shopping we swap out the back seat for a crate in seconds. Front basket carries load as well, so that does most trips.
