Notre Dame's offense pouring it in today is as much about the Irish defense as it is about Jeremiyah Love, Jadarian Price and CJ Carr

Nothing fancy this week, Georgia Tech.

Throw it at your own risk, Pittsburgh.

Anyway, just finished up my most recent College Football Playoff projections.
Be a lot easier if we could just publish my notes, more illegible than usual given travel's sways.

Nope, not that badly.

Rivalry weekend could reward Notre Dame fans, as well, and I don't just mean beating up on Stanford.
Plus, obviously, Texas at Georgia this weekend. Then again, that might jump the Longhorns ahead of the Irish.

Hey Notre Dame fans, just wondering ...
How badly do you want to host a first-round Playoff game? Badly enough to cheer for USC in two weeks?
(@espnbillc.bsky.social's SP+ ratings suggest that'll be about a 10.5-point spread in Oregon's favor.)

Huh, looks like Vandy's advanced numbers against Auburn bettered Vandy's outlook in the final weekend of the season and thus bettered Vandy's Playoff odds ...

So if none of the American teams are ranked by the CFP -- or if only one is -- then those advanced metrics rankings would determine the title matchup.
And that could give us this Playoff play-in game.

Expecting Navy vs. Notre Dame to get pointsy tonight, largely because of Notre Dame ...

Have a Playoff impact tonight, Wake Forest.

Trying to speak Stanford over North Carolina into existence.

Know what isn't on that list?
Florida State vs. Clemson in primetime ... on the ACC Network.

The time nears for you to talk to your kids about "thinking about being bowl eligible" Kent State.

I know red is Wisconsin's color, but the Badgers might be leaning into it too hard.
Red is bad, Bucky.

I do not ask for much.
A Thanksgiving Saturday with Vanderbilt on the road at Tennessee, the Commodores into the Playoff with a win?
Put that into my veins along with Thanksgiving ham, please and thank you very much.

Conclusion: Virginia needs to beat Duke on Nov. 15.
11-1 Virginia vs. 11-1 Louisville in the ACC title game might propel both into the College Football Playoff.
Virginia's loss: One-possession, early September, on the road (NC State)
Louisville's loss: One-possession to Virginia

Is BYU vs Cincinnati the weekend before Thanksgiving the most impactful remaining game on the Playoff field?
Cinci wins: 10-2 heading into the Big 12 title vs Texas Tech. Win and Big 12 gets two in?
BYU wins: 11-1 heading into the Big 12 title. Big 12 gets two in regardless?
