I was part of a group that rented an overnight campout stay (they lock the gate behind you!) in a city park/ex Nike missle site (Hopkins Winderness Park) in Redondo Beach, CA.

Ground floor living units (perhaps even in CM zones?) seem fine for sidewalk activation, when there's a recessed "porch" feeling:

I remember the Crown-Ikarus articulated buses from the 80s. They seemed to sort of sway as they went down the street. They were a disappointment to Trimet. (And had a lift at the farthest rear door!) @wilsonxcassie.bsky.social

Hey, @pbotinfo.bsky.social why are there no trees in 100' of sidewalk, 7450 NE Glisan? 100' of 15' wide sidewalk!
@pbotinfo.bsky.social. I'd ask forestry but they're not on here. One streetlight, but apparently plenty of room otherwise.

Was this a stop? Or a junction? 62nd and Woodward. That building sure has a "railroad station" look to it!

Boraxo powdered hand soap: since 1935. My dad used it and it was always around garages to get grease off your hands. In last few years, it was acquired from Borax co. by Dial soap, who made it for a few more years. Vintage pix: Wall dispenser seen in gas station rest rooms. Oval can for home use.

Spanish origin. Used in many 18th C Mexican churches, and sometimes in California missions. Style was promoted by 1915 San Diego and SF expositions (See here the similar California Tower in SD's Balboa Park)
