Video games are a relatively small part of what Pokemon really is despite being the first iteration of the concept. It feels like the video games almost exist just to be a bible for everything else to iterate on

We really are just so allergic to the vulnerability of human interaction that we would be way too threatened by making anything too human-like. We prefer all of our needs met by something we don't have to have any feelings about at all.

The present ain't great so the only way through it is to find joy where we can. I'm gonna go play video games

I'm gonna be real, half the reason I did this is because people on Reddit keep saying Kawakami is the best confidant mechanically, which I was pretty sure was wrong, so I was like "I'll just play the game 2 more times to prove it mathematically"

Home is just a bad product (all Pokemon can go in but only some can come out and moves are erased, subscription model cloud storage that should just be local). Go is the main game I play with other people in a social way. Having my Go Pokemon in another game adds no gameplay value to me.
