I write baseball words for a living. Constantly tired and ready to retire. Here to make myself laugh.

This worked for me. Tell your friends.
Ohioans who, correctly, don't want to submit identification to bluesky, this may be useful:

Over at Redleg Nation I wrote about some prospects who went from the Dominican Summer League to the Australian Winter League and are playing very well so far.

This is true. In 2011 I started a "scouting database" at the site for $4.00 per month. A few years later that transitioned into the current form. I've never raised the price. In nearly 15 years.
And unlike wasting your money on Disney+, Doug doesn't raise his price twice a year.

Waking up at 8am is always a mistake. Logging on this specific morning at 8am was a bigger one. My goodness.

Gonna go watch some cooking videos on the youtubes to cleanse my soul.

There are still games going on, but as things currently stand only one team in the Dominican Winter League has a winning record. When the day began only one team was even above .500. Aguilas is now 18-3. The other five teams have between 8 and 11 wins and are .500 or worse.

I just went through my freezer to get stock of what I have in there, what I need to be sure to use soon, etc. But I also organized all of my tomato juice/soup stock and my tomato sauce. I have 40 lbs of it all in there.

Gonna need to start eating a lot more of it.

Really thinking about all of that food I'm gonna be eating on Thursday.

Today's adventure in Zillow is having a bridge on your driveway that you can't drive over and it's also 200 feet from the house.

Is there an app in existence that actually prioritizes the stuff you explicitly told it you want?

Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video - everywhere makes you search for stuff you have added to your list or subscribed to in favor of what they either think you want to see or are paid to push you.

On a different note, I have gotten bombarded with ads on instagram from two companies. I like both companies. They both want to sell me their 4-figure products that I would like but won't be buying.

I have seen A LOT of people talking about how the Reds hid the quad injury about Elly De La Cruz and I just have to say that A LOT of people were not paying attention. It was discussed that he was dealing with a quad injury for months, during the season. They weren't overly specific with that.

This shit sucks. Google rolled some previously useful features into this AI garbage that no longer work unless you allow them to use all of your stuff for machine learning.

Still turned it off, but good God can we just please stop forcing this on EVERY SINGLE THING WE HAVE IN OUR LIVES
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

After reading the "clarification" I wrote about how it changed next to nothing and how so many people failed the club and Elly De La Cruz along the way.
Nick Krall attempted to clarify his comments on the torn quad of Elly De La Cruz that he made on Wednesday evening, but he essentially repeated his exact words but added the injury was more nagging than serious.

A lot of people failed in this decision process.

I'm old enough (barely) to remember the Milli Vanilli scandal.

At least real people were actually singing their songs.

There are currently "24 users" on Redleg Nation right now from Lanzhou, China. I wonder what they are trying to scrape
November 20, 2025 at 3:43 AM
Absolutely insane that this was allowed to happen.

Wonder if the Reds ownership is going to tell us that the sale of MLB dot TV isn't baseball revenue like he did when they sold BAMTech.
Rob Manfred's ineptitude cost MLB a billion bucks in ESPN money, to make up for it he's selling off MLB dot TV to ESPN, and now he's claiming that makes up for it? What if he had NOT fucked up and lost a billion dollars and STILL sold MLB dot TV? Would that not have been better?

I'm not going to name names but there's a baseball writer (maybe a former baseball writer at this point) who has slowly been losing his mind and the concepts of reality over the last handful of years and it's been crazy to follow.

Everything about the absolute awfulness that is this company and what it's trying to do - I am once again here to point out that 1 - some people have entirely too much money, and 2 - money and valuations simply aren't real at a certain point.
Exclusive: Suno, an AI music platform in which users can generate songs based on text prompts, has raised $250 million at a valuation of $2.45 billion.

The startup has raised $250 million and says annual revenue has reached $200 million.

There is only one show I watch every week. Dinner Time Live. I never watch it live, but I almost always watch it late on Tuesday night's while working.

I want to do this. Just invite friends over, cook food for them, talk all night. But like be able to pay my bills doing it lol.
