It wasn’t going to matter because they needed to get the kick and didn’t but kicking the field goal before the TD in that situation is another broadcaster fallacy. Your chances of hitting the TD is so much higher from the 30 than it is on a Hail Mary as compared to Aubrey banging one from 65.

Unironically, I would trade Brandon Aubrey for a draft pick just so the Cowboys would stop playing conservative for field goals.
