I'm honestly not sure. It was close enough to the sea that I could watch the ships pass by. I remember discovering it wasn't a true castle, just the massive home of a wealthy man.

Kilkenny made my vacation, along with the fact the Dublin hotel I was in used to be a castle of sorts. I was sick one of the days but sat happily sipping hot toddies and looking out at the Irish Sea.

I stayed in Dublin but I'm getting old and found it too busy for me. I fell in love with Kilkenny.

I prefer Irish and Scottish teas, as well. America is good for herbal teas, in my opinion.

One of my friends in Scotland used to be a vegetarian so she frequently made meals for me. They were bland, to say the least. She and her husband loved Mexican food but said they couldn't find good salsa in the UK. So, for their anniversary, I sent them a salsa mixture to make their own.

My Scottish friends have told me their foods are relatively boring. I guess it's all in your particular tastes. One of my favorite things to do when I visit other countries is to eat at their Mexican restaurants. It's... interesting.

I'm a vegetarian but easily pleased foodwise. I always find something to eat.
