Incompetence may turn out to be the only guardrail.
It’s fair to wonder how much their incompetence might hinder their retribution fever dreams, and to hope that some of the residual guardrails might offer some resistance. But there can be no doubt about who these people are and what it is they want to do. The threat is evidently real.

The film that stood out for me at DOC NYC this past week was the stunning “Two Strangers Trying Not to Kill Each Other.” Hands down the best cinematography I’ve ever seen in a verite documentary. And among the very best docs in recent memory, period. It’s streaming til Dec 1 via the DOC NYC website.
