The argument against a female president always seems to boil down to what if she gets moody and starts a war.

With Trump I think I finally see the concern. Turns out the issue was a senile old man.

So, NY, who are you primarying against Schumer? The old man has to go. If Dems are to have any chance we need people who aren't out of touch.

We're on Pelosi over here with a couple great options. What's the hold up with you?

Just sitting here waiting for the tech industry to go, "You know, most of us don't need AWS or Vercel or any of these. We'd be fine on any number of VPS providers."

I feel like the clustering that happens with service infrastructure like this is just terrible for us.

Hey, Dick,

SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.

You know what happens when Dems negotiate? Literally everything that's happened in the last 20 years of my adult fucking life.

Sit down. Shut up. The country blames the GOP. Make them come to the table.

This isn't rocket surgery.

Bipartisan negotiations are the 'obvious way out' of the shutdown, says Sen. Dick Durbin
As the government shutdown reaches its ninth day, Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin is calling on Republicans to resume negotiations in Washington as Congress remains divided over health care and funding.

At this point if the Dems get back into power and they don't completely remake the Supreme Court... I'm done. I won't be able to vote for them ever again because, at that point, I can't believe that they actually are on the side of Americans. They really will be just a slightly les shitty GOP.

Today on #Tailwind is bad and it should feel bad:

They implemented `overflow: clip` but not `overflow-clip-margin: `. Why bother with clip if you aren't going to give people a way to set the margin?

@groundnews.bsky.social question for you lovely peeps: If I get the Vantage plan and use someone's 40% discount code (shout out for @hankgreen.bsky.social), does that renew at the full price after the first year or is that a "forever so long as you have this plan" discount? Landing page doesn't say.

What do you think happens if you click a link inviting you to an org when you're signed in to multiple emails? Does it:

a. Let you pick the correct one
b. Auto select the one the invite is for
c. Assume it's your default and then yell at you because it's not

Everything happening around Charlie Kirk just further convinces me that Republicans care about their rights and no one else's.

Also that if hypocrisy was an energy source theirs would power humanity into the stars.

So much for the GOP and never forgetting 9/11... I wonder how Rudy feels about this.

I don't know how this was missed but when we got CSS Cascade Layers (@layer) they didn't give us a way to specify order beyond defining them earlier in the file.

Which is great until you can't control what CSS shows in the file first.

Like in any built framework.

I got to use "di tutti" today and that made me happy.

If you're unfamiliar, "capo di tutti capo" means "boss of all bosses" and was the term used for the head of the Sicilian mob. Think "The Godfather".

It's fun to use in silly ways like "kitty di tutti kitty".

And yet @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social are STILL silent.

Maybe they realize their so unpopular with the average Democratic voter that they fear they'd hurt his chances. But that begs the question: Why aren't they stepping down?

I'll be voting for this, not because I think gerrymandering for any reason is good—it's not, it's horribly undemocratic—but because my hope is that if this gets too far out of hand they'll just pass a law banning gerrymandering in any form.
We’re not going to sit back in California as Trump & his Texas cronies rig the midterms.

This week we’re sending a redistricting plan to the voters.

Unlike in Texas, California will have transparency & voters will have the final say.

They’re trying to tear down democracy. We’re building it up.

One of the interesting things I see happening with AI is younger generations are experiencing unreliable tech for the first time in their lives.

So you see people trusting what LLM's like ChatGPT are saying because why wouldn't they? They think if Google didn't lie, why would this?

YouTube has added a new feature that looks at where people are most often skipping in a video and prompts you to skip past that section.

This has the effect of skipping most, if not all, ad reads for me.

As a viewer, I love this. As a person who wants the internet to continue... I worry.
