I've heard pretty much all of those recommendations, but I was curious to see what people's individualized solutions were. I ended up getting pretty good results by spreading them out under my floor with extension cables. Previously they were all over my wall, but I wanted something out of the way.

Today I designed and 3D printed a dumb little spacer so the floppy eject button on my case can actually reach the eject mechanism.
