The only people who will be able to afford PA programs, e.g., will be those who already have the money or those willing to take out private loans, which are often incredibly predatory.

When Schumer says that Democrats will continue to "fight," I just don't know what that word means or even what he thinks it means. I just don't know.

People are definitely hurting—at my university, we've expanded our food pantries as rapidly and as broadly as we can, e.g.—but this capitulation only ensures more suffering in the long term. SNAP and Medicaid will still be deeply cut starting July 1. Healthcare will skyrocket out of reach for many.
