All rules have two expectations in game design, one is to have a standard of expectations and the other is to subvert that expectation

People have crazy, crazy deck names as a way to get notoriety.
SOOO many people do now, and wotc wants deck names to be more in-line with actual cards; "interesting" deck names just don't fit the current mindset of players or wotc.

It has changed, we only think we know relative movement at the moment. Expansion and rate of movement are at question right now, very recently.
This may be seen akin to how they understood retrograde motion fitting a geocentric model and that clearly is not the case.

We don't know if the universe is actually expanding. It fits some of our understandings and matching of an idea of a big bang, but the cosmic background we can see does not actually fit, it is currently being challenged.
