America is literally built off of immigrants and their contributions. A great majority the top researchers, scientists, and doctors… etc all are from other countries. Science, research, and technology is what makes a country powerful, and America is shooting itself in the foot.
Just insane stories from the graduate school communities, students getting kicked out of the country - medical and science researchers - because of trivial, decade-old violations, like speeding tickets, long ago, paid in full

They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.
