Culver City No Kings March overflowed off the sidewalk and into the street from the fire station to Super Domestic. So proud of my city.

If this is how this administration responds to a Senator with a question, you can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, and to day laborers throughout California and across the country.

We will hold this administration accountable.

I love L.A., fully and unironically, even with all its many flaws - and absolutely none of those flaws have to do with it being a city of immigrants. That’s one thing that makes L.A. a miracle, vital, a delight. Sending love to my friends there and curses to all ICE goons and their nazi bosses.

I worked inside all day yesterday feeling dread, worry, overwhelm. I left the house at 6pm for a meeting & the sky was pink, the crescent moon was bright & the air was rainswept clean… I was like… OH RIGHT, OUTSIDE IS THE CURE. Now get up, go touch grass and sniff a tree. I promise it works. ❤️

I was in a design meeting for our local public middle school’s desperately needed bond measure money. The architects presented drawings for 3 improved buildings, science, art and a gym. They said, “this is what we can get now but if the president’s tariffs pass, you’ll probably only get 2 done.”

It’s a unique stage of life when your children don’t need you anymore, your hair turns grey, you start caring for your parents…. And then your city catches fire and nazis come back.
