Up until a couple of years ago, this was the post-dinner activity for us. My aunt and uncle have since retired from draft horses but this was so much fun. Of course it was less fun when it was -20. Yay MN winters! We’d pull kids on sleds and adults on skis behind the sleigh if they wanted a go.

Yay! The babies made it into the coop all by their big girl selves! The barred rock is still being a brat to them. She’s moody at the best of times and now she’s also molting, so yeah, chicken pecking order being established.

I can’t believe I scrolled this far before this popped up. This was a great show and spawned my love of the national treasure who is Delroy Lindo. Filmed in Chicago (Chicago set shows are usually filmed in NYC) so that was special as we lived there

Yeah sometimes they’re legit 24 hours a day. I like sleeping too much to have a roo, but here’s the sweet girls I just got this weekend 😊

We are starting this journey with my 14.5 yo senior cat. His kidneys are starting to function not as well as they should, and his labs are slowly going in the wrong direction but he loves his kidney kibble and for now he’s okay. I’m hoping for another year with this sweet boy

Those were such pretty trees; we used to live in San Diego. Growing up in MN, I was always partial to paper birch.

This was my traveling neighbor on yesterday’s flight. Utterly inconsolable when he had to be in his carrier for takeoff and landing and just happy as a clam to sit in Dad’s lap for the rest of the flight.
