Indigenous land and water defenders have long understood that there is no life on a dead planet. Thank you for defending our future.

I stand with Indigenous leaders in Belém and beyond.

EU governments need to listen to the citizens demanding climate action, not to climate deniers, especially as Europe is increasingly on fire.

Join me in demanding that they keep their promise to do the right thing for our climate.

MEP @danielfreund.bsky.social so correct: "Instead of consistently fighting corruption, the EPP is joining forces with the far right & fabricating scandals where there are none."

Shame on you, all EPP politicians!

Rogue's gallery of world 'leaders' attacking democratic civic space - 2 Europeans :(

Too many politicians and economists have a myopic view preventing them holding money & ecology 2gether in their minds.

It's a zero sum game for them: if one wins, the other obviously loses. So money wins all the time.

They're sawing off the branch all species r sitting on. Holistic leaders needed!

Lovely to see some books that feed the soul honestly and not through fantasy. Maybe more balancing needed in this #BookSky universe.

Love seeing the Ecofeminism and the Sacred. Sacred means honouring and respecting, something sadly diminished in our toxic social networked world. Thanks 4 sharing!

Nothing new there. Canada remains a petro-state. Will Mark Carney try to diversify the economy away from energy and mining? Europe is desperate for mining products needed for the energy transition. They're cosying up to Canada for them.

This book is being rubbished by some in the GreenSky feed. Looks like it deserves more deep analysis, rather than a brief summary of views posited by the authors.

Love her writing generally. This particular one was left behind after I bought it in Canada last year. Needed to make some sacrifices due to limited luggage space. The Night Watchman, The Last Report..., The Roundhouse, and The Sentence were also very good reads.

And it should be part of the national traffic news on the radio, to also make links between driving passenger vehicles and extremely poor air quality. Brussels has had dangerous air quality since at least December, which means we're not just having occasional days here & there. It's systemic.

My son and I took the 4,5 day trip from Kamloops to Toronto last year in economy so I could avoid paying $6000+ for the couchette service.

Taking the train, it became so crystal clear just how much passenger train travel is neither a priority nor a form of travel to be encouraged by CP & CNR.
