Refactored the battle logic and figured out a better way to handle 2D sprites in a 3D world with rotatable camera. The neat thing is I only need 2 versions of each animation: front and back facing. I can flip either of those horizontally to account for the other two angles

Now that Critter Drifters is out, I've been spending more time on the "what next?" question. Still exploring ideas, but I'm finding myself drawn to a casual RPG with turn-based battles.
Think a mix of Mario+Rabbids, Paper Mario, and Final Fantasy Tactics.

I would love to make a casual RPG like Paper Mario one day. But that is very, VERY daunting. So what I'm doing is making a bare bones "engine" without any graphical polish, characters, or story consideration.
Given enough time and effort, maybe something will come of it!

All likely scams, but the funny thing is how easy they are to spot because they don't even attempt to talk about the game itself -- just insert its name into an obvious template that gets sent to just-released games.
