Work on "gib system" continues. I am now experimenting with dynamic painting of the skin layer with particles (for something like dripping blood for example). 😊

Work on "volumetric gib system" continues. Added resistance to damage depending on proximity to bone.

Still need to work on effects on the outer shell (skin) :)

Used morph targets to achieve an effect of an evolving creature in Unreal Engine. Material transition still needs a bit of work, but I'm happy with the effect so far. Trying to keep an hint of an "retro-ish" aesthetic

A small snippet of an example gameplay from our project. As you can see physics play a major role and I always wanted to recreate "slamming enemies around" feel from (perhaps a bit obscure) PSX game WILD 9 😈
