Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. look at En Garde! as an influence for more modern dueling combat, I think many people would appreciate a reboot of the "Adventures" style of games as more narrative driven, smaller titles to experiment with the world

I may have gotten my wife into #Lancer, which is a pretty substantial feat considering she is very particular about new TTRPG systems when there is so much we have, & so many we have tried out, and she is even more particular when it comes to anything mecha. Horus hooked her, combat enthralled her.
The Minotaur from the LANCER TTRPG. A drab olive green quadrupedal robot with two arms holding a rifle with a series of pointed sensors to resemble the horns of a bull. The Pegasus from the LANCER TTRPG. A bone white robot crawling on the ground with a series of human-esque limbs and an elongated horse-like face. On its back is exposed internals of the mech meant to look similar to flayed skin, and hovering over it's body is a ball of energy known as the Ushabti Omnigun that acts as the units weapon system - a weapon that's (non)existence is in violation of nearly all known laws of physics. The Balor from the LANCER TTRPG. The hulking bipedal mech has three spikes protruding from its shoulders, a weapon affixed to its left arm, and a nanobot whip zipping around the mech. A swarm of nanites surround the mech and create an effect as if it is emitting flames. The Hydra from the LANCER TTRPG. The slender bipedal robot design has six arms in various states of disarticulation, suspended or attached to the main team by arching electricity along with drones with weapons capabilities. In two of its hands, it holds barbed whips that are dragging.

This is the battle harness for players who just wanted the counterattack. Especially since multi-attack starts becoming more common at higher tiers of play, these would be found closer to levels 11 onward. It's only really then onwards the counterattack becomes semi-consistent anyway.
A homebrew D&D magic item description inspired by the Final Fantasy XII accessory the Battle Harness, allowing players to make a Counterattack with a melee weapon attack when they are attacked. The item scales with the PC's level, increasing the chance to counterattack the higher the player level

For no reason in particular I am workshopping a set of Genji Armor - specifically based on Final Fantasy XII's version of the armor and accessory - for D&D. For balance purposes I wouldn't dole out pieces of the armor before PC are 14, but I do have a battle harness if they want Counterattack sooner
A homebrew D&D magic item description inspired by the Final Fantasy XII version of the Genji Helm, which is traditionally acquired from Gilgamesh. It is a very rare wondrous item that requires attunement, granting the user an increase in their intelligence and has unique properties such as "Genji License," which allows the Genji Helm to be worn with other pieces of the armor and not take additional attunement slots. The item is also cursed. Due to Final Fantasy's Gilgamesh being a multiplanar traveler, the item requires a professional to stabilize it to the current cosmic plane. The players can pay 900gp to a wizard, cleric, or bard to stabilize the item, or seek help in Sigil, the City of Doors. Alternatively they can stabilize the item themselves by Identifying the object - either by using the spell Identify or resting - Remove Curse, and Legend Lore within a 24 hour time frame to stabilize the item, unlocking its true potential through the item's "Soul of Yamato" features. Ok I realize this implies that Worf from First Contact onwards has double the memory capacity, showcasing his age and wisdom over the years, but that the newest Switch 2 is Picard Worf- which just like the Switch 2 I haven't seen anything on it just yet and okay I'll get around to it eventually

The color scheme of the Switch family of products reminds me of the gradual uniform changes between Star Trek TNG and DS9; I think the design changes are arguably for the better & suit the demographic shift, but there is a charm that is lost in the more sleek and modern aesthetic.

We're talking about yellow paint again? Cool. All I will say is that the best usage of yellow paint in gaming has still been The Stanley Parable Adventure Line. That is all, carry on.

I had no ounce of interest regarding the League's world or aesthetics about 5-6 years ago. The only reason why I remembered giving Arcane a chance is because I thought the animation looked great and it had that one character who I named my funny robot after in a D&D game. Anyway, watch Arcane.
