Once I had to write instructions for other teachers, on how to collect certain data and replies from parents. None of my instructions worked til I broke it down into numbered bullet points. Each instruction no more complicated than 'the cat sat on the mat.' I thought it patronising they loved it.

I always imagine my audience for written work to be pupils in a school assembly with the headmaster ready to pick holes.

There was that casino that got hacked through it's internet enabled aquarium, so you are right.
I don't want the internet of things thank, you very much.
I really don't want smart devices at all. My microwave has one knob and that's the way I like it.

Environmental historian J. R. McNeill opined that Midgley "had more adverse impact on the atmosphere than any other single organism in Earth's history"
Having caught polio, Midgley was strangled in his bed by the ropes of his home made mobility aid. Karma is a bitch.

Midgley then went on to invent a range of chloro-fluorocarbons to use as 'inert' refrigerants and aerosol propellants, that blew a hole in the ozone layer, thus giving us all skin cancer.

Chemical engineer Thomas Midgley Jr.was responsible for putting lead in petrol, which by some estimates knocked a handful of IQ points off overall American intelligence. The age group most afflicted are now growing into elder statesman territory...

Sites with things that MASSIVELY ENLARGE as your cursor passes over them.
March 7, 2025 at 10:46 AM
Sites with huge banners headings that slide up an down as you scroll and where if you try to zoom in, only the banner zooms and not the rest of the tiny print page.
March 7, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Sites that advertise a variety of interesting items, say on Facebook, but when you click on the picture of said item it takes you instead to their home page and you have to search for the item. That's just rude.
