wip: 'Rose of Venus' curve via p5js. If you drew lines between the positions of Earth and Venus, after a while, the curve would look something like this. Earth orbits the sun about 8 times, for every 13 orbits of Venus.

Tourism Hamilton markets us as the City of Waterfalls. We have the Niagara Escarpment to thank. What I didn't know is that the escarpment ranges all the way from Western New York, through to Manitoulin Island, Michigan & Wisconsin. It's a remnant of glacial erosion. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara...

When I showed our makerspace librarian a cardioid last night, he told me he'd encountered the term in acoustics with respect to microphones. Another example, optical caustics are found naturally in coffee cups. The latter can also be simulated by 3d rendering engines.

My son's recent birthday gift. He picked it out himself, and I told him it reminds me of one of the ships from Space Invaders!

Though, at first glance, presenting as a deck-building roguelike, Inscryption combines with it so many other genres as to become almost genreless. This, from Wikipedia, contains some spoilers.

This little bit of life seems to be taking a respite from the smoke outside. It has a wingspan of less than my thumbnail.

A lot happening. My wife is recovering from 2 dental implants under anesthesia. I had to go to the emergency with a possible retinal detachment that turned out to be just a benign vitreous detachment, and we met some great guys that'll be demolishing our rotting cantilever balcony pictured here.💪
