Excellent piece.

If all 4 can play, as I suspect it will be, it's a bloody disaster.....
World Cup's been and gone. Almost a week until the WBBL. Time to discuss the announcement that an extra overseas player per team will join the Hundred in 2026

The only way this would be more accurate is if you removed the words "like Rockstar"!

Also… if you are a man in employment in the private sector in the UK/US the biggest act of feminism you can do is tell your colleagues your salary.
Companies like Rockstar rely on individual employees not knowing exactly what their collegues are being paid. What payrise or condition changes they got after a complaint or negotiation.

They always scream blue murder and panic when people start being open about it.

More money for the NHS; social services not stretched to breaking point; the abolition of the 2 child limit; and a better country to live in - it’s these things… right?

I was putting the big lens away for winter and wondered what my statistics were for 2025, so I checked:

🏏 I took photos at 25 games
🏏 I saw 8995 runs scored
🏏 I saw 368 wickets taken
🏏 I saw 7 new teams
🏏 I went to 10 new locations

Already looking forward to 2026!

Nice tribute to Patsy Lovell amongst others...
Before the start of play yesterday we remembered Members, friends and family of the Club who have passed since the start of last season.

A poignant tribute to those who each contributed to making the Kia Oval such a special place.

A quiet "changing of the guard" at Hampshire this season - none of the 2018 County Championship winning team now remain - Lottie herself was the last one to go, after Charlie Dean and Emily Windsor departed over the winter.

Best news yet from the new England coach appointment - all players will be playing county cricket!! A coach who has always known you learn by playing the game - not rolling up for the occasional net practice.

If I understand the situation correctly Grace Scrivens was appointed captain of England A at the very last moment. There's a simple explanation, of course! It was to torment Sid Egan!

It was refreshing to see that the cricket shot, the late cut, has been rediscovered. I've often wondered why it got forgotten in women's cricket and another shot gained that name (although more like a square cut). Oddly the last person I would have expected to play it was Richa.
