i think the internet has warped everyone into thinking this isnt a trained practice with a historic knowledge base, lol. everyone buying a book and telling people to drink cotton stems is really whats giving the impression of things being unstandardized.

the same way that doctors practice is the same as an herbalist...practice. herbalism is standardized in alot of ways. my unique approach cant change what a medicine does functionally. its how i apply it. which is normal in areas beyond herbalism.

nothing will ever be as visible as allopathic medicine. however, we do have a peer run organization that can provide a certain designation. recs dont vary wildly from person to person when they are a trained herbalist. but also, there are usually several routes to the answer.
