Retired from a career that took me around the world and continually reminded me that Canada is a wonderful place. Winnipeg transplant, currently living in Ottawa. Interested in issues concerning politics, law, and human migration.
Probably not "Free Tibet".

Too well groomed.

Let the wackos go and follow Bernier.

We are surrounded by things that are trying to kill us. The human immune system is pretty incredible (as is science).

The cowards in Congress will never do it, though.

A medical event is the world's best hope.

I almost lost a finger about 20 years ago because of a strep infection. The ER sent me on my way with antibiotics; when my doctor saw it he immediately referred me to a specialist. Very luckily, they managed to treat it by excising a lot of tissue. It could've been far worse.

It's very hard to imagine.

This map, showing who voted for Lansdowne 2.0 and who did not, tells the story. The suburbs can impose their will on almost any issue by virtue of their representation on council.

Time to de-amalgamate. Or for the Feds to create a true National Capital Region independent of the provinces.

Time for the gasoline heads to chime in about how awful electric batteries are for the environment. And they say it with a straight face, as if they really care.

Building an arena at Lebreton is insane. No one is going to tolerate the traffic jams that are sure to ensue. There is inadequate parking and the O-Train isn't reliable. Sure, I could walk to the games but it sure won't be those in adjacent neighbourhoods who will be filling the stands.

It’s depressing. It’s not even in dispute that they did it.

Meanwhile Cuba is in its 60 somethingth year of US sanctions.

I use that as well. I'm going to eventually switch over once I’m sure the same functionality is there.

A benefit of being retired is that I don't have to contend with locked down systems.

The downside is paying for software subscriptions.

One vote against - someone didn't get the memo.

Now for the senate.

Of course, Trump could just direct Bondi to release everything - not like they need an Act of Congress.

Get off of the cloud. They want you to use it because of all the wonderful advantages it supposedly gives you, but unless you need to access it from anywhere there is no added value.

I'm not sure how much the CPC base independently follows the details of government; they will only hear what they are told. In this case, they'll likely just hear that the NDP continued to "prop up" the LPC. They won't hear about the two CPC caucus members who abstained.
