I’m in Washington DC tonight for meetings at the Library of Congress tomorrow. We’ve all just learned that Dr. Carla Hayden was fired via email. I’m honored to have met Dr. Hayden and learned from her. This is horrible news.

I successfully removed permanent marker off this dry erase easel by scribbling over it with a dry erase marker to rehydrate it, then erasing. I’m definitely listing this as one of my library accomplishments this week. What’s your favorite trick like this?

I’m looking for ideas for a graphic novel display that isn’t superheroes and onomatopoeia bubbles. Any suggestions for a fun display filled with memoirs and other GN?

On this last day of 2024, I’m focusing on the good in the world and the promise that hope brings. I’m taking comfort from Howard Zinn and his encouragement. Happy New Year!
