Pretty much only in the present, unfortunately, it's been thousands of years of misunderstandings and willful misinterpretations on Hijack's end. She's getting there, though. Slowly.

Hijack is still figuring out that she wants to hurt Flyby, but she also wants to be the *only* one who hurts Flyby. Although...

Perhaps not *hurt* hurt her. Just. Yknow. Rough her up a tad. As a gay little treat.

*I'm obsessed with them both.*

Flyby has always played the villain. It was recently revealed that even when she was a decepticon, she was actually an undercover autobot spy. Hijack has always seen Flyby as her personal villain to vanquish, but now, all of that is being called into question. Flyby clearly *loves* Hijack.

She was broken. Traumatized. Hurt, by the very villain we were now chasing. When she used a wire to plug herself into Hijack's brain and overcome the gag order that had been programmed into her to prevent her from sharing what happened to her, it shifted their dynamic in the present *enormously*.

First, cold. Calculating. Manipulative - as a decepticon. Then, in Hijack's first sports interview: cleverly maneuvering the conversation to help Hijack perform well? Hijack had no way of processing this, continuing to see her as the heel she plays on stage. When we finally met Flyby in the present?

The GM then took that prompt, said, "Okay... I'll make a character that Hijack *thinks* of that way," and made Flyby, the most fascinating and deep character in our game. Her first few appearances were in flashback, establishing the various personas she puts on for the benefit of others.

I've been playing the Transformers ttrpg with a couple friends. I play an autobot named Hijack who used to be a sports star before The War, and the pitch that I gave to the GM for an NPC was: "I like foils. I want a gladiatorial rival, someone who's basically me, but worse in every way."

Oh hell yes, we also ordered one of these. They're so cool, the magnets are an inspired choice

My Wanderhome character, Penny, will not be part of this equation, as Wanderhome rejects violence outright and I refuse to cause her more tragedy than she's already gone through.

(She dies in the initial outbreak, unless someone picks her up and commits to protecting her, Ellie Last of Us-style.)

Laele Vrinn, or The Scarlet Masque, is a Drow theater nerd turned Sherlock. She dies in the initial outbreak, no question. She's good at dealing with people, not creatures. Her Watson far outlives her.

Dave Rawlings aka "the Scratch" aka "King Dave-ID" aka.... is a Slugblasting teen. He probably ends up helping the zombies jump to another dimension. He's used to dealing with math panthers and stuff, so weird superpowers aren't a dealbreaker. If he's got his team to help him be smart, he's fine!

A little thread of my current out of network characters:

Hijack is a transformer. She's not getting turned, but the villain of her story is probably hard at work corrupting energon with the zombie virus. She might get herself wrecked stopping him, or mind-broken as part of his experiments.

In fairness it's like

A genre-defining amount of good

Even *I've* finished that game, and I haven't finished Tactical Breach Wizards, a game that you know is significantly shorter and which I *LOVE*
