it is! I love the backstory we made him SO MUCH, having that lingering thread on the horizon is both motivating and anxiety inducing haha

he’d taken over the throne while posing as Kaius III, who had always been intentionally styled to look like him by his court. he also found out shortly after this that HIS Kaius is imprisoned in the fuckoff middle of nowhere and can’t do anything about it yet so that’s. fine.

he grew up with Kaius III, but upon going home from a trip abroad found him drinking the blood of a servant and when he saw Yvaine he attacked him and tore his throat open. it took him 8 years to find out that it wasn’t the Kaius he knew, it was his grandfather

anyway that’s my psa for the evening, everything is great in my games, I just wanted to put a gentle reminder out there for people like me who are so conflict averse that it’s hard to have a conversation. it’s worth it I promise ✨

in game that couldn’t be resolved by a conversation and being mature enough to admit when maybe you were upset or could have read something wrong that could cause negativity. of course that can happen, but it happens a LOT LESS if you talk!!

but also, esp when I was newer, I often let things fester and let me tell you as an extremely nd person you’re gonna make it into something so much worse than the reality, being an adult and being able to say “hey this feels bad are things cool” can make ALL the difference. I’ve never had a conflict
