you know what I've always been self conscious of other people's clear, intentional thumbnails with a good sense of what the final piece will look like

but I am just gonna say it doesn't have to look like that and you can make it as messy as you want, just get the idea out

an extremely messy sketch showing a character holding something in their hand. the proportions are completely out of balance and you can just loosely tell that there are candles in the background. there's a vague indication that the thing in his hand is a skull with spiky, lopsided triangles indicating it will be wearing a crown.

this has been my day (masking the joints then painting one side of my mini print display stand), very excited to see if it works ;;

generally there’s concerns that it fits so tight that paint would prevent it from assembling, but I covered everything that connects so we’ll see!

I quite like my boy's haircut but I should give long hair Velis a proper illustration sometime
