The Premier League awaits Wrexham. One more promotion to go. But how can a club built on authenticity, accessibility and community reach the game’s most elite and corporatised level without sacrificing its soul?

Put a line through them ladies and gentlemen. The Roosters’ season is over after just 70 minutes.

No team has ever recovered to win the premiership after conceding 50 points in a game. #NRLRoostersBroncos

I was a London judge. Sam Kerr’s case should never have gone to trial
The trial of Sam Kerr will shortly end, but whether the verdict is “guilty” or “not guilty”, questions must be asked about whether it should have taken place at all.

Always hesitant to post stuff like this bc I work for the NYT & it sounds self-interested. So I will just add: It doesn't need to be my newspaper! Pay for a local newspaper, a newsletter, a nonprofit outlet, a magazine--but support *something* you value if you expect to keep it around
I’m willing to bet that most of us pay more per month in underused streaming/cable fees than the cost of an annual magazine or newspaper subscription (eg $50 NY Mag). Subscribe more, read more, support what matters to you, stop whining about paywalls

Me when there's a rain delay in the city I live: Well, that's unfortunate. Nothing you can do about it though. Hope the farmers are getting the rain, poor buggers

Now they're rock-bottom of the EFL, in the midst of their biggest crisis in recent memory, and the fans want him gone. Immediately if not sooner.
