In the 2025-2028 RRS, Rule 17 has been simplified. The exception stating it doesn’t apply if an overlap begins while the windward boat is required to keep clear (Rule 13) has been removed. This change enhances clarity, ensures consistency, and promotes fairer competition in overlap situations.

I believe in continual small improvements—whether refining technique or growing confidence. This holiday, I focused on CPD, completing the UKAD Coach Clean certification. It reinforces clean sport, fairness, and leading by example, equipping me to guide sailors with integrity. Here’s to progress! 💪⛵
