It feels intimate to me. I have stared in adoring detail at a lovers gentials on occasion for sure! I've loved that from lovers (as long as it's not all the time, that might feel off). I don't feel I'd want to share it with the world. That does feel sort of clinical yeah, and intense.

The assumption that one would want a bit of modesty is interesting though....

I suspect women who shave are probably usually more concerned about social mores, and so would also be more likely to wear bikini bottoms. Women who don't shave are more likely to be of a 'let it all hang out' sort of attitude, so more likely to go bare.
