Partner to a wonderful human, father/ally to two daughters who are my heroines. I read. I write. I collect fountain pens and enjoy the occasional cigar. he/him MG 2/4
Thank you. Now I can say my handwriting looks like a cockroach with two bad knees ran through an inkwell. Brilliant.

I don’t know that I need any of the fountain pens that I own (gasp) but I sure do enjoy the experience. Plus it gives me something to discuss with random strangers.

Clairfontaine supplies Rhodia paper. The Clairfontaine notebooks are not as pretty but the paper is good. The major difference is the Clairfontaine paper is white where Rhodia is off white.

Clairfontaine is a much better deal, I just can’t give up the nice covers on the Rhodiarama notebooks.

Is that a combination of growth and progress? Seems legit to me.

I bought a pink hooded nib version for my daughter about 7 years ago. The enamel was good and the brass pen had nice weight. The hooded nib kept it from completely drying out but it would eventually hard start. Pens have come a long way so they may have improved the cap seal.

Not exactly a three pen case, sorry. I do have Lochby tool roll that is very nice and versatile.

Oh, I don’t think this is so. I do love for your poetry posts. They provide a nice pause when I am scrolling, telling myself that I don’t need another pen. I do find the settings interesting as well.

I have a two Nahvalur pens and they are very nice. I don’t use shimmer inks so I don’t have issues cleaning them. Very solid pen. I can’t speak to the medium nib, as I prefer a fine nib. I will say the fine is wet and more like a fine medium so a medium should be really nice.

I finally purchased an Esterbrook Estie (Raven) this year and now I wonder why I waited. Mine is a button filler, but they have a converter option also. I have two Pilot Custom 92 with gold nibs and the Estie’s steel nib skates circles around them.

Some of the pens listed have rounded grips that taper while others are just a slight triangle grip. I wonder if a larger round grip section would help more.

There are basic pens that have a triangle grip. The idea is to teach you how to hold the pen. A trick I use for long writing stints is to change out pens that have different grip sizes. I will list some starter pens with ergonomic grips that I am familiar with.

This has been a point of contention with me and various family members for decades. They think I'm being overtly judgey when I say, "I don't shop at...." even when I say nothing about their choices. Of course I am judgey, but it's their guilt speaking. Anyway, I have found this useful lately.
