This week's Kusuriya was storyboarded by the underappreciated legend Naohito Takahashi. Director of To Heart, Figure 17, Berserk, mentor of people as renowned & wide-ranging as Kazuya Tsurumaki and Makeine's brilliant Shotaro Kitamura. Takahashi retired last year so it might be his last contribution
Wrote about Makeine and how its promising rookie director identified a duality of moods within it, as well as the author's strong link to the story's real-life setting. To capture its charm, his team formulated a visual language that incorporates all these ideas blog.sakugabooru.com/2024/09/30/t...
