As I wrote all this out I’m starting to realize, just like last time, we can try to turn all this into a positive with some reframing. I tend to ruminate, so the last few months have been hell.

We’ve been seeking out free, positive entertainment sources like the myriad of new fixer upper channels on YouTube and those who focus on travel and experiences. Especially those doing it on a tight budget.

We’ve cut back inexpensive cell plans, cancelled subscription services, gotten rid of some toys, and cancelled some of our more ambitious travel plans. We’ve stopped drinking and are eating cleaner.

We will go back to what we did last time. Family dinners at home, game nights and camping trips. When we do shop, we will intentionally seek out small businesses whose values align with ours. Not always easy here.
