I never played MTG until after I got into FaB and even then only because I moved to a new area without a FaB scene. While #fabtcg really needs to work on its lore and stories, just having a cohesive single world for the game is so important.

Most of the community I've spoken with I've gotten to start using "Sage" instead of the bad acronym. Seems to be taking locally and its what I'm using to promote the format on my platform, so hopefully those jokes die out quick
