Western PA born and raised, city chicken was in the dinner rotation every couple of weeks when I was growing up. Maybe I'll make it when we go up to visit for Christmas.

I am thankful that you had skilled, talented doctors and a medical team two years ago! I am also thankful that voters showed the power in casting a ballot on election day yesterday! I'm also thankful that Barry hasn't been arrested for all his crimes 🚓

Yes I did consider that, but you see his body from all angles and only the eyes when looking straight on, so I thought about what would be a good contrast with that lovely grayish beigeish and darker accents fur that he has. But I would totally squee with delight seeing him in blue!

Yeah not liking wet food is odd. There's a reason you can always make a joke/comic about cats appearing when they hear an electric can opener. Haven't lived with a cat since childhood but have cat-sit others over the years and the sound and smell of a wet can opening brings them running.

Gotcha. Normally I'd say give him food just 2x a day and then pick it up and he'll soon learn. But you know these cats best, and having lived through my dogs "great hunger strike of 2016" I'm aware of the depth of stubbornness pets can exhibit around their meal times. Hope you figure out a solution.

Am I understanding you to mean you leave out dry food for him all day? And vet says stop. So he wants you to feed wet 2x a day, but BB is finicky? Am I missing something that you couldn't restrict the dry food to just putting a bowl of it down twice a day?

My theory is the economy is already shit, and about to get even worse for SNAP folks, plus the lack of goods coming due to tariffs, so all the Xmas stuff is hitting now so that folks have choices from diminished supply plus buying little bits at a time rather than larger $ outlay later in the season

I usually pick up a box or two of PS shredded wheat and will make a pumpkin bread if motivated enough, and that is usually as far down the pumpkin spice road I go. My go-to coffee is hot drip with creamer, then a cold brew with either hazelnut or caramel syrup in the afternoon. I'm pretty basic too.

Fruity Cheerios might be up your alley. Definitely more Cheerio and less fruity. It's borderline disappointing how they taste vs. how they smell. I enjoy the occasional bowl of Froot Loops or Apple Jacks, but I'd rather have fruit cereals be used to make alternative versions of Rice Krispy treats.
