I blame Kathy (in a good way, not a bad way) for my stop at Publix on the way to the beach to get this. It is just me and Gigi this weekend. Husband is over in Raleigh at a concert. So the big question is will I eat all of it or take some back with me?

Gigi enjoyed her first time at the beach with us. She didn't get in the water, but got somewhat close and watched the waves for a while. She rolled on her back in the sand a few times, and you can see her sandy head here. I did keep her from rolling in some stinky seaweed, which disappointed her.

Introducing Gigi! We've been dogless since sadly losing Jasper to an emergency medical situation nearly a year ago. She is an open-ended dogsitting guest. Long messy story but we may have her two weeks or two months. She is very sweet & we are getting to know her. Our first time having a pitty mix.

The biscotti have more of a flat top rather than a dome. Pan is 2 inches deep. The pan instructions said for recipes calling for 2-2.5 cups of flour, but I think it could definitely hold a larger recipe. I cut these way too thin because I'm trying to stretch the quantity for gift bags.

The biscotti have more of a flat top rather than a dome. Pan is 2 inches deep. The pan instructions said for recipes calling for 2-2.5 cups of flour, but I think it could definitely hold a larger recipe. I cut these way too thin because I'm trying to stretch the quantity for gift bags.
Hershey's cinnamon chips. Not at every grocery store. I can find them reliably at wally world, which pains me, but it's been hit or miss at other grocers. They are smaller than standard chips but not as small as mini sized.

@jencoleslaw.bsky.social Sometime in the past year I think we discussed my biscotti pan. I bought it intending to use it for 2023 baking and I didn't. I used it this morning for the first time. Here it is before the cutting & second baking. New recipe too - failure risks all around for this endeavor

This was not stocked in the same area as the rest of the holiday/seasonal/X-mas beers and I think that some marketing person needs to be disciplined for that decision. I did not buy this, though I would definitely drink it. I just saw it and think it's probably the best beer to buy in December.

Do I gladly pay 3x the price that a can of store brand sweetened condensed milk costs so that I have the convenience of easy drizzling? Hell yes! I love this packaging and used it for the first time last year and kicked myself for not trying it sooner.

Righteous anger can be energizing - I'm running on a fair amount of it myself. Honestly running mostly to keep despair at bay. But also....

2/2 That said, maybe just try a totally different but still fun and relatively easy decorating effort this year to try and lift you out of your funk. Pumpkin prices are falling here the closer we get to Halloween. How about putting 3-4 of these beauties in your yard instead?
