Watching ALIEN for the first time. Ripley has just gotten to the shuttle, and of course we have to get her stripped down to her underwear. Which, fair. I will grant you that I also would probably strip to my skivvies after that stress and being alone for the first time in ??? months/years.

Apparently, all it took was nearly everything to get that promotion and raise. Had to come close enough to rock bottom that I almost gave up. Two days later, I get the good word. Bittersweet.

I suggest folks start putting "anti-AI statements" in their publications and talks. For example, state that you didn't use AI for any aspect of your work and that you didn't cite any studies that used AI.
This shows worker solidarity and makes visible the collective action against AI.

Perfume oils. They last longer and you need less of it.
I find myself using more oil based because they’re more affordable and favored by indie perfumers, but my true preference is a solid actually. I suppose that’s still oil based, so a semantic comment. Yes—it does vary for me, and I prefer oils for ritual use.
