Silt Dirtmouth is the leader of the nibelung workers guild, currently trying to negotiate better working conditions under Albrich. Given that they are slaves and Albrich has gone mad, the prospects don't look great - on the other hand, that means their conditions can only get better from here. Back when they were known as Dökkálfar, Silt was named something to the tune of Cruel-Striker, and was the kind of taskmaster the nickname promises. It's unclear if the concern he shows for those that work under him now is to atone for his violent past, a façade serving just to do it all again, or indeed if he even remembers it - although it seems in some cases all too convenient, many of his kin have, in truth, completely forgotten who they were in the old world.
