I gave a talk at the University of the Third Age. A hundred people enthusiastic to hear and talk about metaphysics. A significant contrast from my usual teaching experience.

Mixed messages from my local liberal MPs fridge magnet calendar. On the one hand he has a dog and a blonde wife so he must be a good guy, but on the other hand they seem to be sitting in front of a concentration camp.

I am happy to have completed a draft of my book on happiness. But I must admit it was often a difficult and stressful task to keep up with my self-imposed schedule (especially in the second half of the year). If I write another one, I'm going to have to get some teaching/admin relief.

This is my favourite work of visual art that depicts philosophers. It's 'Logic' by Luca Della Robbia (c.1437) and is housed in the Duomo museum in Florence.
