The longest-running, still updated Doc Savage website. We're the holding company for the Flearun and the Bronze Gazette.
I believe one of them is in the La Plata, MO Preservation Society exhibit:

Ninety-three years ago today, Lester Dent started writing The Man of Bronze (March 1933), his first Doc Savage novel for Street & Smith. He mentioned the day in his foreword to No Light to Die By (May 1947) #docsavage #pulp #adventure

From office boy to vice-president at Street & Smith, Henry W. Ralston helped shape the golden age of pulp fiction with magazines like The Shadow and Doc Savage. He wasn’t just publishing adventure; he was shaping an industry.

Born Nov 4 1917, Babette Rosmond kept Doc Savage alive at Street & Smith in the 40s, editing the pulp through its mid-decade transformation. Later a trailblazing editor, author & health activist, she proved that adventure wasn’t just for the men on the page. #DocSavage #pulp #adventure #pulpfiction

Happy Belated Birthday to Walter Baumhofer, the artist who first (and best IMO) painted Doc Savage. #pulp #adventure #art #illustrator #artist #docsavage #pulpfiction

Sad news for us all. I immediately remembered his many articles and his poetic tribute to the opening of The Man of Bronze (Bronze Gazette 15).

Apologies, but we were unable to post yesterday on the anniversary of the birth of Doc Savage author W. Ryerson Johnson. Johnson wrote two novels and supplied the idea for a third. #docsavage #pulp #adventure #birthday

Just posted a Doc Savage “Cover Art Check.” I've grouped some uncredited pulp covers by likely artist, but there’s some disagreement. I'm curious what others think.

Who do you think painted what? Please come comment with your thoughts. #docsavage #art #pulp

Just dropped: Daryl Morrissey’s Refraction 003: Quest of the Spider, a deep dive into Lester Dent’s 1933 tale of the Gray Spider’s sinister lumber empire and Doc Savage’s daring fight against poison flies, swamps, and subterfuge. Pulp adventure, weird menace, and classic heroics await. #docsavage

Definitely correct re: Doc Savage. Raised to help humanity, he spent a few years as an adventurer before the novels started, but it was in The Man of Bronze were he got his wealth. Twice in the pulps it was threatened, but he didn't lose it.

At the time the original Doc Savage adventures were written, there were 48 states in the United States of America. (Hawaii and Alaska were added in 1959.)

Of those 48 states, can you guess which never had a mention?
