If there’s anyone we should hand it to, it’s the writers and directors of 1980’s sci-fi/action movies. So many depictions of a dystopian technofutures filled with angular vehicles on fire and covered with spray painted slogans against the current fascist regime.

Crazy electric jolt in what looked like a transformer explosion(?) just on the north side of 183 & east of 35 at 4:18 this morning. Anyone see anything in the news? Looks like it knocked out power to several blocks. #Austin

So I did today’s Apple News mini crossword in 16 seconds. Which put me in the top 350 on the global leaderboard. So, okay neat. But how - and I do mean HOW - are people finishing the daily mini in under 3 seconds? It takes a couple seconds at least to read all the clues. I call major shenanigans.
